HOLLYWOOD - Legendary actor Robert De Niro has slammed an American newspaper after findingout it interviewed his nine-year-old neighbor.
The New York Post swooped after news De Niro's housekeeper had been arrested
for stealing jewelry from the actor was revealed earlier this week.
But the Raging Bull star is furious reporters tried to get comments from a
child who lives in his New York City building.
De Niro's spokesperson Stan Rosenfeld tells the New York Daily News, "It's
beyond reprehensible. Children are off limits. There is white heat coming out
of Mr. De Niro over this."
Nanny Lucyna Turyk-Wawrynowicz (corr) has been charged with stealing $500,000
worth of jewelry, shoes, clothing and cash from various customers
over the course of several years.
