HOLLYWOOD - Comedienne Rosie O'Donnell has hit out at President George W. Bush for his

controversial decision to invade Iraq, insisting he should be tried on war

crime charges.

O'Donnell, 43, recalls her admiration of actress Jane Fonda, who famously

slammed America's actions during the Vietnam War--and she claims hearing about

the atrocities against the North Vietnamese left her with an enduring horror of

war.

And the outspoken TV star is convinced the U.S.-led war in Iraq was illegal,

and Bush should be held accountable for the innocent lives lost.

She fumes, "All I know is that when I was a kid and the Vietnam War was on

and Jane Fonda was the only person standing up and saying what every kid that

was nine years old like I was knew war is wrong and we shouldn't go over and

kill people...

"You know (Bush) invaded a sovereign nation (Iraq) in defiance of the U.N.

(United Nations). He is basically a war criminal! He should be tried in The

Hague!"
