Russell Crowe Joins ‘The Man Of Steel’

russell croweI believe wholeheartedly in the transitive property. If Marlon Brando played Jor-El in the original Superman movie and Russell Crowe was just cast as Jor-El in the new Man of Steel movie then it must, and I mean must, mean that Crowe is equal to Brando.

And I just don’t agree with that.

Sure, Crowe is a big name, but is he the kind of BIG name we want as Superman’s father? I mean, he’s not even American and we’ve already got a British dude playing Superman. Come on, we couldn’t get someone like Willie Nelson to play Jor-El? Hell, George Clooney could’ve knocked this outta the park. Even Phillip Seymour Hoffman would’ve been a better choice than Crowe. Oh well, I guess Superman will have rage issues too.
