HOLLYWOOD - "Coach" star Shelley Fabares is recovering from liver transplant surgery, her spokesman said on Thursday, October 26th.
Danny Chung, national spokesman for the Chicago-based Alzheimer's Association, of which Fabares was a long-time board member, said that her illness was caused by an autoimmune disorder.
Fabares, 56, is the wife of "Providence" actor Mike Farrell, and besides her Coach role, she is best known for her roles as a teen-ager on "The Donna Reed Show." She is expected to make a full recovery.
