Scabs Picking

HOLLYWOOD - Call it payback time.

Daily Variety reports that 24 actors have been targeted by the Screen Actors Guild for performing struck work during the six-month-long strike against the advertising industry.

The accused scabs, as they are called in the industry, could be brought before trial boards and face expulsion, suspension or fines. To date, at least four SAG strikebreakers have gone through the process.

SAG's national board has affected a permanent ban on membership for non-union members who performed work during the strike.

The union -- along with the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists -- recently voted to ratify a new three-year contract Monday.
