HOLLYWOOD - Filmmaker Julian Schnabel has forgiven Hollywood star Sean Young for her unruly behavior while he was onstage at the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles.
The Blade Runner star was escorted from Saturday's event after heckling the director as he attempted to make a speech.
Reports suggested Young was inebriated at the ceremony--and the actress checked into "an undisclosed" rehabilitation center in California on Monday in a bid to tackle alcohol issues.
But the Diving Bell and the Butterfly director has expressed sympathy for the troubled 48-year-old--and insists he isn't angry about the incident.
He tells USA Today: "It was fine. It was really fine. I'm sorry she got taken out of there.
"If I had a couple of minutes with her, I could have brought her up on stage and we could have worked it out."
