Scully says goodbye to "X-Files"
HOLLYWOOD - Actress Gillian Anderson told London's Sunday Times that this will be her last season on the hit Fox series The X-Files.Anderson cited a desire to spend more time as a mom and an aspiration to land more roles as a stage actress as reasons for the decision. Having joined the cast of the X-Files in 1993, Anderson told the Times, "Having been Scully for such a long time, I have to prove myself in other roles." David Duchovny, who with Anderson turned the X-Files into an international hit, left the series this season.
