Seagal's band to perform

Steven Seagal
HOLLYWOOD - The Associated Press reports that actor Steven Seagal's band will perform at the Sashi Experience 2001 benefit concert in Jamaica on Aug. 26. Seagal and his band will perform songs from an album due out in September. The actor says he is an avid fan of raggae music, and recorded with Beenie Man and Toots Hibbert while in Jamaica earlier this year. The Sashi Experience 2001 will run from Aug. 22-26 in Ocho Rios at James Bond Beach and will be hosted by Wyclef Jean. Seagal (Marked for Death, Under Siege, Exit Wounds) said he developed a taste for music in the late '60s and lists Curtis Mayfield, Procol Harem and Jimi Hendrix as his inspirations.
