A fan of Shawn Johnson has pleaded not guilty to stalking the Olympic gymnast after he attempted to break onto the set of TV show Dancing with the Stars to meet her.
Robert O'Ryan, 34, was allegedly caught by security on Monday as he tried to hurdle a fence at the show's studios in Los Angeles.
A police search of O'Ryan's car discovered a shotgun and handgun, as well as duct tape and love letters written to Johnson.
He was charged on Thursday by the Los Angeles County District Attorney with one felony count of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
O'Ryan pleaded not guilty to all charges. His bail was raised from $35,000 to $220,000, and a trial date of April 27 was set.
If convicted, O'Ryan faces up to four years in a state prison.
