Shia LaBeouf Visiting 'Dark Fields'

HOLLYWOOD - Shia LaBeouf is set to visit The Dark Fields, according to trade reports today. The thriller, to be directed by Neil Burger, is said to be in the vein of Fight Club and The Game and is adapted from the 2002 book by Alan Glynn.

Burger last directed Edward Norton in The Illusionist.

Fields is about a loser who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes you smarter. He experiences sudden financial and social success but soon discovers that the drug has lethal and lasting side effects, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

LaBeouf will next be seen in the eagerly anticipated Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He is also starring in Eagle Eye with Michelle MonaghanRosario Dawson and Billy Bob Thornton. Currently, he is shooting the Anthony Minghella-scripted segment of the anthology film New York, I Love You.
