HOLLYWOOD - Surfing champion Kelly Slater has confirmed reports he is just great pals with Cameron Diaz and the two are not romantically involved.
Slater and Diaz were spotted surfing together in Hawaii last month, soon after her split from Justin Timberlake.
The Charlie's Angels star was staying at Slater's house on Oahu's North Shore, prompting rumors she was enjoying a rebound relationship with the hunky surfer.
Slater insists there is no romance, telling People magazine, "We're just friends."
He says the two met "a few years ago" when he joined her for a conservation expedition to Honduras for her MTV show Trippin'.
When asked how Diaz was doing in the wake of her split with Timberlake, he added, "She's doing well."
