'Sopranos' Star Quits Reality Show

HOLLYWOOD - The Sopranos actor Vincent Pastore has quit reality show Dancing with the Stars after just one week of training because it's too demanding.

The 60-year-old claims the strenuous nature of the competition was overwhelming and he will not appear on the series' upcoming fourth season.

Pastore explains, "When I initially committed to joining Dancing with the Stars I didn't realize just how physically demanding it would be for me.

"Unable to put forth my best effort, I felt it appropriate to step aside and give someone else the opportunity."

The show's executive producer, Conrad Green, claims the producers harbor no ill will against the actor, adding, "Dancing with the Stars is physically demanding and it pays to know your limits.

"We respect his decision."

The new season of the show starts on March 19 and will feature competitors including Heather Mills, Billy Ray Cyrus and former 'N Sync member Joey Fatone.
