Sorry, Arnie: No 'T3' for Cameron

HOLLYWOOD - Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to make another "Terminator" movie. But he's got a problem: James Cameron doesn't. Schwarzenegger, longing to return to his glory days as an action icon, recently blurted to the media that he's committed to make "T3" and expressed his hope that the "Titanic" director would return to fertile ground such as the original "Terminator" and especially its sequel, "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."

But, as everyone suspected, Cameron's been there, done that, and doesn't want to do it again.

Rae Sanchini, Cameron's longtime partner, told Daily Variety that 'T3' has been out of the question to Cameron for more than a year. "(Schwarzenegger and Cameron) are fabulous friends … and yes, they love working together, but no, he won't be directing the movie.''

The sequel rights to the sci-fi series are held by C2 Pictures, headed by Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna, former chiefs of the defunct Carolco studio, which produced the first two films.
