Aaron Spelling Buried in Family Service

HOLLYWOOD - Late TV titan Aaron Spelling was buried in a private family service in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The producer, who created TV hits such as Charlie's Angels and Beverly Hills, 90210, was laid to rest at the Hillside Memorial Park in west Los Angeles, following his death on Friday of a stroke.

Spelling's wife Candy and their two children Tori, 33, and Randy, 27, were among the mourners.

The family's publicist, Kevin Sasaki, says, "It was just a small, private affair."

Sasaki added a large, public memorial service will take place later this month, saying, "The location decision has not been finalized, but there is a possibility that it may happen at the television academy."

His family has released a statement, thanking the public and media colleagues for their condolences: "Our extreme sadness and grief is comforted by the overwhelming number of heartfelt calls we have received. We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and sympathy expressed by so many friends and colleagues who knew Aaron."
