HOLLYWOOD - Actress Brooke Shields has proven she's forgiven and forgotten her bitter feud with Tom Cruise by flying to Italy for the movie hunk's weekend wedding to Katie Holmes.
Shields and Scientologist Cruise fell out when the Mission: Impossible star publicly berated the actress for promoting antidepressants for postpartum depression in TV interviews and in her book Down Came the Rain.
The pair has since made up over a peace breakfast at Shields' home and the actress has become close friends with Holmes, who gave birth to her first child, Suri, on the same day and in the same hospital as Shields welcomed baby Grier.
Shields put off shooting a new movie to attend the nuptials, which are scheduled to take place at the Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano, just north of Rome, on Saturday.
She was among the first stars to touch down in Italy when she arrived yesterday. Other celebrity wedding guests who have arrived in Bracciano include Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Scientologists Jenna Elfman and Leah Remini and new Hollywood couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and John Travolta and Kelly Preston are also expected for the wedding, along with moviemaker Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw.
