Steve Carell Will Lend His Voice To 'The Simpsons'

Steve Carell guesting on The SimpsonsOh, Jury Duty. The bane of many a registered voter's existence. It provides a serious cramp in most people's plans, even the plans of Springfield's resident mobster, Fat Tony. Of course, luckily for Fat Tony, he's got some significant help when he's called in to do his civic duty: Steve Carell. Or, the voice of Steve Carell.

The former star of The Office will make a stop on The Simpsons to play Fat Tony's accounrtant, Dan Gillick. Apparently, Dan's MBA rage is just rearing to come out and when Fat Tony needs him to whack some folks, Dan gets a little scared because he actually wants to do it. Of course, he'll waltz into Homer's world via his bowling team and Homer will do his usual dumb-luck schtick to talk the numbers man out of killing the people on Fat Tony's agenda. It should be nice to see...er, I mean hear Carell go in a very different direction from his lovable primetime staple and go just a little nuts.

The episode will air next fall during The Simpson's 24th season on Fox.
