Steve Schirripa: "'Sopranos' Movie Will Never Happen"

Tony Sirico and Steve Schirripa
HOLLYWOOD - A Sopranos movie will only happen if James Gandolfini runs out of money, according to former castmember Steve Schirripa.

Rumors of a movie have circulated since the final episode of the mob drama aired last year.

A number of castmembers have voiced their support for a film adaptation.

But Schirripa--whose character Bobby Baccalieri was killed in the final season of The Sopranos--thinks it will never happen.

He says, "I don't think it's going to happen. Unless James Gandolfini goes broke, I don't think it's going to happen. If he empties out, perhaps we'll have one."
