HOLLYWOOD - Former Friends star Matthew Perry's new TV series is a hit--Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip has been given a full-season order by NBC.
Rumors had been swirling for weeks that the new TV show from The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin was on the verge of being cancelled.
The show, which stars Perry and Amanda Peet, has a number of loyal fans, but had regularly finished far behind ratings blockbuster CSI: Miami in its timeslot.
According to TV Guide, the show has received a "back nine" order, which means the show will not be cancelled, but will instead get a full 22-episode order for its first season.
