Studio Fire Destroys Movie History

HOLLYWOOD - A King Kong exhibit and the set from the Back to the Future movies were among the film gems destroyed by the fire that raged through Universal Studios in California on Sunday.

The fire also destroyed a huge video archive of Universal movies and TV shows, but bosses insist the film is replaceable.

Studio boss Ron Meyer says, "We have duplicates of everything. Nothing is lost forever."

Investigators have yet to establish the cause of the inferno, which has caused damage worth millions of dollars.

It's the second blaze at Universal Studios in 18 years. The last one, in 1990, was started by a security guard and caused $25 million in damage.
