Sugar Ray goes anime
HOLLYWOOD - Pull out your sketchpads, music is now in cartoon form. Sugar Ray have put together an animated video for their new single, "When It's Over." It will premiere June 4 on the Cartoon Network Web site. The clip turns each band member into his or her favorite cartoon character. Lead singer Mark McGrath is portrayed Harlem Globetrotters style; bassist Murphy Karges will appear in a Flintstones-style sequence; guitarist Rodney Sheppard will appear as Speed Racer; and drummer Stan Frazier will be a futuristic character straight out of The Jetsons. The animated clip will only be seen on the Cartoon Network Web site, according to Atlantic Records. "When It's Over" is the first single from the band's fourth album, due June 12.
