
The Sundance Film Festival waits for no man.
Immediately upon touching down in the snowy tundra of Park City, Utah, the marathon of film consumption began. One must ignore the fact that such and such movie star is hanging out in the hotel lounge or name director is riding on the trolley—when you're in the thick of the fest, it's all about catching the movies. Minutes after picking up your press badge at Sundance HQ (complete with awkward driver's license-esque headshot), it's off to the races. My first film was the Joel Edgerton (Warrior) flick Wish You Were Here, a tense drama shrouded in mystery and unfolded with luscious photography of seaside Australia.
