HOLLYWOOD - New Superman star Brandon Routh's nerves about taking over Christopher Reeve's cape and playing the Man of Steel on the big screen were calmed when the late actor's wife wrote to him before she died.
Routh reveals he was terrified of playing Superman until Dana Reeve sent him her best wishes.
He says, "I felt immediately that people were going, 'Look at this kid, he's not standing like Superman.'
"Then I got a letter from Dana Reeve... and she just said that she was pleased that there was a film being made. She remarked about my resemblance to Chris... It meant a lot to me."
