HOLLYWOOD - 24 actor Kiefer Sutherland is to serve 48 days in jail for drunk driving.
The hell-raising actor was charged after police witnessed him making an illegal U-turn in Los Angeles last month.
A breath test allegedly found him to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Sutherland pleaded no contest to the charges on Tuesday--and will be jailed for 48 days during breaks in filming for the hit TV show.
Court records state he will spend 30 days in jail for driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit, and 18 days for violating his probation--relating to a previous DUI conviction in December 2004.
He also received a six-month driving ban and must attend alcohol education classes for 18 months and weekly alcohol therapy sessions for six months.
