HOLLYWOOD - Family and friends of movie mogul Sydney Pollack said their farewells to the director/actor at a low-key memorial service in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The 73-year-old lost his battle with cancer at his home on May 26.
Details of the private memorial service were not made public by Pollack's family in an attempt to keep the event from becoming a media frenzy.
One insider who attended the ceremony has confirmed it took place but would not reveal where it happened or who attended.
