Stick a fork in "Emeril"
Sometimes, network news announcements aren't news.
From the We All Saw That Coming department comes official word that NBC's Emeril is history. NBC: shame on you for even thinking this show might have worked.
But it's not all doom and gloom for you, Emeril. Remember what Buffy and Roswell did? That whole switching-networks thing? Emeril, you should give that a shot. Head on over to UPN--where Iron Chef USA is failing--and steal Shatner's job. It would be a good fit, actually.

Remember "Ren"?
Face it, you loved Ren & Stimpy when it played on MTV in the mid '90s. Maybe you even loved the (unfortunately) revamped version on Nickelodeon. Now, you can relive the madness--this time on weeknights on VH1 at 11:30 p.m.
Original Ren & Stimpy voice-over artist Billy West serves as host of each segment. West provides little-known details about each episode, shedding light primarily on the show's background music, which ranged from Beethoven to 1950s commercial ditties.
Break out the powdered toast, pour a stiff drink and reminisce with the asthmatic Chihuahua and retarded cat that you once loved and feared. Still painfully funny.

One happy hangover: "That '80s Show"
We took an early sneak peek at FOX's upcoming sitcom That '80s Show (debuting on Wed., Jan. 23 at 8 p.m.). If you thought all the pot-smoking on That '70s Show pushed the limits of what's appropriate to show on TV, you'd better toughen up your liver for That '80s Show. The amount of tequila these kids knock back would make Ben Affleck cringe.

Carrey...gone crazy?
Well, it may have finally happened. Jim Carrey may have gone nuts.
Ok, maybe not nuts, but certainly not his humorous self. True, his choices of movie roles recently have been decidedly dramatic (The Majestic, Man on the Moon), but all this drama may be going to his head.
During a recent interview on PBS' Charlie Rose, a very serious Carrey admitted to Rose that he has a very "corrupt soul" and that he's become "fascinated" with his own "self-loathing."
Perhaps it's time for another Dumb & Dumber? Another Me, Myself & Irene?
Something.
