ABC goes T&A
ABC's been hurting big time in the ratings--but they know how to fix that. The alphabet network is airing a Victoria's Secret fashion show at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Now, watching Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum parade around in their Christmas-inspired panties is quality entertainment, but it's also a smart move. Sure, nobody's going to beat CBS' CSI at that timeslot, but since NBC's Just Shoot Me is wavering at 9:30 p.m., expect a good showing for ABC for the second half of the skin-fest.

"Ellen" renewed?
Hmm. Is Ellen DeGeneres on CBS' board of directors? The network has certainly taken a liking to her, giving her struggling sitcom The Ellen Show a full season pick-up. The show made a "special" debut on Oct. 24 to low ratings and--aside from Nov. 9's episode--has been quite unimpressive in the Nielsens. CBS' other new Friday-night sitcom, Danny, which followed Ellen, got the ax immediately. Very curious.

Kilborn's college crusade
Well, you've gotta cut CBS some slack when it comes to late night's funniest show, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. Programming execs know who their key demo is--college students--and are now catering to coeds on the show, dedicating entire episodes to various universities. Smart.

"Crossing" over
NBC's new drama Crossing Jordan is winning its timeslot on Monday nights, which is very impressive, yet it's resorting to some clichéd gimmicks. Star Jill Hennessy's former Law & Order costar Chris Noth (Mr. Big on Sex and the City) will guest star on two episodes starting Mon., Nov. 19. Noth will play a gifted FBI profiler who works on a murder case with Hennessy's character, Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh. It's good news for fans of Noth, but a fairly hackneyed move nonetheless. The show's doing well as-is.
