HOLLYWOOD - Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have taken their romance from hit teen dance film Step Up off the big screen and into real life.
The film shocked box office observers over the weekend by taking in $21 million in its first week of release.
According to veteran Hollywood columnist Janet Charlton, Dewan has admitted the couple are officially dating.
Dewan is a professional dancer in real life, having danced with Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin and Justin Timberlake.
She was rumored to have been a factor in the break-up of Timberlake and Britney Spears in 2002 and was most recently linked to A Walk to Remember star Shane West.
Dewan confirmed the couple have been dating since filming wrapped on Step Up last year.
