The CW Picks Up Celeb Reality Show 'H8R' and 'The Ringer'

Mario LopezThis is low, even for the CW. They've just picked up an hour-long reality series called H8R that forces celebs to pair up with folks who hate them so they can perform some unknown task that will undoubtedly feel as natural and the faces Tyra Banks makes at the America's Next Top Model judges panel. The show will be hosted by Mario Lopez who just can't seem to regain that AC Slater magic (we miss you and your high-top hair and muscle tees) and will find stars like Snooki and Kim Kardashian as they try to convince the buncha haters that they're really alright. Good luck.

Also on the CW's new menu is The Ringer, a mystery drama starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar plays twins, one who passed away but has a hit out on her, and the other whose own troubles force her to steal her twin's identity not knowing of the mafia trouble that will certainly follow. Adding to the drama so typical of the network are Gellar's costars, Ioan Gruffudd and Kristoffer Polaha.

Both don't look that promising, but at the same time, play into the type of shows we're used to seeing on the CW. Get ready to attempt to resist the melodrama, folks. Trust me, I know how hard it can be.
