The summer has just begun and already it's baby fever. Keeping the ball rolling, Jewel gave birth to son Kase Townes in Texas last night. The little boy weighed a healthy 7 lbs., 6 oz. This is a monumental moment for this first-time mom since her and husband Ty Murray have been trying for two years to conceive. It hasn't always been easy sailing, even during the pregnancy. In March the singer was involved in a car collision with a fire truck, but fortunately neither her or the baby were seriously injured. Congrats to the couple on their own precious jewel! - US
- It has been confirmed that the creeper who has been terrifying Halle Berry all weekend by repeatedly climbing over the wall of her property, has been caught. The man jumped back over the wall again (for the third day in a row) late Monday night, but this time Berry's private security watched the guy enter the grounds via security cameras and busted him on the scene. The LAPD were called who arrested and booked him on the suspicion of felony stalking. The repeat stalker has been identified as 27-year-old Richard Franco. - TMZ
- Rumor has it that Dr. Drew Pinsky’s hit, Celebrity Rehab, will be going on indefinite hiatus at the end of the current fifth season. A source claims that Pinsky was hit hard by the recent deaths of two celebrities on the show: Mike Starr and Jeff Conaway, who both overdosed within weeks of each other. A producer also states that it is becoming increasingly difficult to fill in the celebrity slots on the show, but reports are saying that the VH1 show is simply going on hiatus because "because Dr. Pinsky is just too busy to continue to do the show.” Don't count on Celebrity Rehab disappearing forever though. This year the show added Harvard psychologist John Sharp to its staff, who will presumably take over a substantial part of Drew's responsibilities. So perhaps if the doctor is sharp enough, he will pick up where Pinsky left off. - The Fix
