HOLLYWOOD - Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are out of a job after news their hit reality show The Simple Life has been axed.
The wealthy socialites proved a huge hit trying their hand at manual labor on the program--which spawned five seasons--but The Insider reports network E! has dropped the show from next year's lineup.
Rumors of an imminent end began when Fox dropped the series in 2005 and Hilton and Richie became embroiled in a mystery feud.
The girls' turbulent personal lives continued to complicate filming, culminating in Hilton's imprisonment for a probation violation in June and reports Richie is expecting a baby.
