Third Suspect in O.J. Simpson Robbery Case Arrested

HOLLYWOOD - A third man involved in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery has been charged by Las Vegas police over the incident.

Clarence Stewart, 53, turned himself into officials on Monday and is accused of being one of those responsible for a raid at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas last week to recover sports memorabilia.

Stewart was held on two felony counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.

However, police say Stewart has turned over some of the missing goods, including autographed footballs, reports TMZ.com.

Simpson and a group of men reportedly stormed into a hotel suite pretending to be part of a group interested in buying memorabilia items from collector Alfred Beardsley.

Walter Alexander, a longtime friend of Simpson, was arrested for conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with the alleged raid, but was released on bail early on Sunday.

Three other men are still being sought in connection with the incident.

Beardsley has now booked into a suite at the Hard Rock Hotel, where he's staying as a guest of Las Vegas entertainer/promoter Jeff Beacher.
