Tim Burton is reportedly interested in directing a live-action update of Pinocchio -- based on a script by Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller -- and he'd like to see Robert Downey Jr. playing Geppetto.
In the age-old tale, Geppetto is the creator of Pinocchio, who dreams of becoming a "real boy."
Burton is putting the finishing touches on his highly anticipated gothic drama Dark Shadows, due for release this summer, while Downey Jr., currently playing the title character in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, will also be seen this summer -- reprising his role as Iron Man in The Avengers.
