HOLLYWOOD - Tina Fey, comedian and Emmy-winning TV star, has been in talks with a number of publishers regarding a book deal, but with her recent popularity on Saturday Night Live the Sarah Palin-lookalike landed in a bidding war.
Her alter-ego Liz Lemmon on the hit show 30 Rock may not be used to being at the center of a tug-o-war but the veteran actress, Fey, seems to know how to handle herself having made a decision and signing a deal with Little, Brown Book Group.
The New York Post has reported that the deal was worth more than $5 million and that "her book is not being pitched as a memoir, but instead as nonfiction humor, more in the style of author, screenwriter and film director Nora Ephron."
The publisher did not confirm the advance paid nor give any further details of the book by Fey.
Little, Brown is part of France's Hachette, which is owned by conglomerate Lagardere.
