Top 25 Sundance Films Named

HOLLYWOOD - Four Weddings and a Funeral, Clerks, Shine, El Mariachi, In The Bedroom, Hoop Dreams and Napoleon Dynamite have been named among the most important 25 Sundance Film Festival films as the annual event gets underway in Utah.

Local paper the Salt Lake Tribune has unveiled a list of the most important

independent movies to get their big start at Sundance, based on total gross and

the impact they had around the globe.

The 1999 low-budget horror film The Blair Witch Project has topped the list

and remains Sundance's biggest hit, grossing $40 million at the

box office.
