In case you haven't heard a million times already, Madonna is performing at the Super Bowl halftime show this weekend. So what better time to release her new music video for "Gimme All Your Luvin," which (oddly enough) just happens to contain football players. And just to help drive the point home a little further, other alleged halftime performers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. make cameo appearances as well. But because this is Madonna that we're talking about, there's still a level of weirdness tucked in underneath the undeniably catchy lyrics, which I think deserves to be talked about - if for no other reason, than because over-the-top music videos are fun to dissect. Let me break this beauty down the best I can...

A Madonna utopia where everyone and everything centers around her. Since she's a naturally loving person, Madonna babysits young infants in her spare time. It's a noble profession, however, it causes her to run late for her scheduled Super Bowl halftime show performance. But have no fear - as luck would have it, a team of football players show up to escort her to the game. However, this doesn't go as easily as one would hope. Madonna rivals (possibly her arch nemesis: Lady Gaga) sent assassins to try and prevent the pop star from making her highly publicized Super Bowl debut. Why? Because she's the best there is in the music business and they want to take out the competition. Shots are fired, but since the football plays have vowed to give all their luvin' to Madonna, they willingly throw themselves in the line of fire in order to protect her from harm. But one mustn't rely on jocks alone to ensure ones safety, so she goes undercover as the iconic Marilyn Monroe for the remainder of the journey (because that will keep her under the rador until showtime). Thankfully, the plan works and with the help of her ever-so supportive cheerleading fan base, she's able to make it to the game on-time (and unscathed) to dazzle the world with her talent. Whew, close call!
