Hit vampire movie Twilight has topped yet another chart -- it is now the biggest DVD release of the year.
The film, which stars Robert Pattinson as a teenage bloodsucker, sold 5.6 million DVDs and Blu-Ray discs in its first week on sale, to overtake Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa as the most popular release of 2009.
It follows the movie's huge success in theaters, when it topped both the U.K. and U.S. box office charts last year with estimated worldwide takings of $376 million.
The film's highly anticipated sequel, New Moon, is due out later this year.
