Take a look at the spooky new posters for
Francis Ford Coppola
’s surreal gothic horror film
Twixt
. The film, which premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival, follows a failing writer (
Val Kilmer
) who becomes involved in a murder mystery in a small town. The posters come on the heels of
images
released yesterday from Toronto, which showcase Kilmer in conversation with mysterious ghost V (
Elle Fanning
) and Edgar Allan Poe (Ben Chaplin). (Yes, it’s
another
murder mystery with Edgar Allan Poe. Apparently that’s becoming a genre now.)
Coppola plans to take the film on tour later this year, before the full release. The tour will allow Coppola to incorporate live elements into the film, which include music performances, re-ordered scenes, and occasional 3D imagery. Seeing how odd the film is likely to be, these posters seem misleadingly normal.
