USA Network has renewed its longest-running current series, Psych, for a seventh season.
The beloved quasi-procedural dramedy, starring James Roday and Dule Hill as best friends who help the police solve cases in rather odd fashion, will unleash 16 more episodes later this year, long after season 6 resumes its run on Feb. 29.
“We are always trying to find ways to reward our Psych brand ambassadors for their loyalty and passion and social media plays a critical role in how we connect with the people who matter most — the fans,” said network co-presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel, after the renewal news was broken by the series' stars themselves on Psych's Facebook page.
