HOLLYWOOD - Ugly Betty star Becki Newton and singer John Legend are two of the most stylish New Yorkers of 2008, according to US Weekly magazine.
The publication honored the 25 best-dressed stars, all hailing from New York, at a ceremony in the city on Friday, September 28, hosted by Tyra Banks.
The model-turned TV presenter insists that Manhattan really is the fashion capital of the world.
She says, "You walk the streets of New York and people see you--you gotta look cute, in New York, you have to be popping.
"There's no excuse to not look right. If you catch me looking busted, I deserve the worst dressed list."
Other stars to have made it onto the coveted list included The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck, designer Tommy Hilfiger, Project Runway's Christian Siriano, and Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr.
