Vampires don't suck as 'Eclipse' passes 'New Moon'

Thursday Daily Box Office Rally

Even though "Vampires Suck" got knocked down to third after a first place Wednesday debut, all is not lost in the romantic world of bloodsuckers and werewolves as Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" on Thursday surpassed the $296,623,634 domestic box office total of "New Moon." On Thursday in 1,212 theatres, the third installment of the mega-blockbuster franchise earned $190,143 and that was enough to bring its total to $296,649,934 and take the domestic gross crown away from its worthy predecessor.  See full story at Twilight about to eclipse "New Moon!'
