Whoopi Goldberg to receive Mark Twain award
HOLLYWOOD - Whoopi Goldberg will receive the fourth annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The prize recognizes those who create humor from their uniquely American experiences. The actress will join former award recipients Richard Pryor, Jonathan Winters and Carl Reiner. The prize will be presented Oct. 15 at a gala at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington, D.C.
