Willy may never be freed
HOLLYWOOD - Efforts to encourage Keiko, the Orca whale who starred in Free Willy, to join other Orca whale pods near Iceland have proved unsuccessful, according to whale experts monitoring his progress. Over the weekend, an Irish Web site quoted his caretakers as saying that because he has been in captivity for most of his life and is "addicted" to humans, he is unwilling to venture far from the pen where he has been held. The pen was originally intended to serve as a kind of halfway house for the Orca whale.
