A writer for one of HBO’s most beloved shows,
The Wire, has died – just weeks before the premiere of his highly anticipated new series,
Treme.
David Mills passed away on Tuesday following a brain aneurysm.
Mills collaborated with series creator
David Simon on
The Wire, and he served as a writer/executive producer on Simon’s upcoming drama
Treme, which is set to premiere April 11 on HBO.
Mills’ previous TV credits include
NYPD Blue,
Homicide: Life on the Street and
ER.
