Monday Box Office Derby
Win – ‘Inception‘ adds $10.2 million at the box office on Monday bringing its four-day domestic total to $73 million. The high Monday gross for ‘Inception’ is a direct result of the positive word-of-mouth generated by social networking platforms and other traditional channels that it received throughout its opening weekend.
Place – ‘Despicable Me’ continues to dominate the family marketplace as the second best performer on Monday with $4.9 million taking the box office total to $123.3 million.
Show – ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ scored another $2.1 million bringing its six-day domestic gross to $26.9 million and at number four, ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ scared up an additional $2 million to $266.8 million.
