'The Expendables' Clears $70 Million at the Box Office

First PlaceThe Expendables grossed a strong $1.64 million Wednesday, making it the #1 film in America for the 13th day in a row.  Sylvester Stallone's actioner has now crossed $71 million on the strength of its ensemble cast and old-school shoot-em-up sensibility.

Second Place - Julia Roberts' romance-drama-travelogue Eat Pray Love remained in second place yesterday with a $1.62 million take at the box office, enough to push the film's 13-day total to some $52.25 million.

Third Place - The Other Guys stayed ahead of the competition once again Wednesday with $1.04 million, taking the the Adam McKay comedy to a $91.83 million cumulative gross.  Will Ferrell, who co-stars with Mark Wahlberg, saw the second biggest opening of his career when The Other Guys debuted August 6th.
