Hilary Swank, to The Associated Press, why her role as an impoverished woman in The Affair of the Necklace rings true:

"It didn't seem strange; we didn't live in the car for a long time. We had $75 to our name, and that's the money we used to eat. And sometimes we'd use our Mobil [gas] card and eat at a minimart."
