Debuting this week at No. 1 on the Wall Street Journal's bestseller list for fiction titles is R.A. Salvatore's new novel, Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones, which is based on the movie of the same name, of course.
Salvatore's novel--which Lucas Licensing President Howard Roffman says ''fleshes out the scenes and events (in the film) to give you a broader view"--leads an assault of more than a dozen Star Wars tomes on the bestseller charts, USA Today reports.
Other books that are part of this vanguard include: Del Rey/Ballantine's Star Wars: The New Essential Guide to Characters and The Art of Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones, as well as Salvatore's novel; Random House's Star Wars, Attack of the Clones: Movie Storybook and 14 other children's titles; and DK Publishing's The Visual Dictionary and Incredible Cross-Sections: The Definitive Guide to the Craft from Star Wars: Episode II.
There's no doubt that Star Wars fans really can't wait for the movie to debut.
