People Magazine's Best Body Parts

May 17, 2002 | 10:36am EDT

This certainly has been a good year for Aussie actress Nicole Kidman--and it keeps getting better.

Recently, Kidman won a spot on the cover of People magazine's "The 50 Most Beautiful People" special issue.

The latest issue of the magazine to hit the stands features stars with the best body parts, including best legs, best chest and best legs-and Kidman made that list too. Here is a recap of who made the list:

Kidman, the 5-foot-10-inch Moulin Rouge star, won for best legs--a fitting compensation for being teased as a child and described as a colt. "Having long legs makes you geeky," she told the magazine.

Maybe having great legs is a geographical thing. Australian tennis pro Patrick Rafter shared the "best legs" award with Kidman.

Other celebrities cited for their glorious body parts are Benjamin Bratt and Halle Berry for best chest, Jennifer Garner and Tom Cruise for best arms, and Usher and Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell for the best abs honors. Unfortunately, there was no category for best booty.

People staff writer Galina Espinoza said it's no wonder celebrities look so good, considering it's a full-time job for them.

R&B sensation Usher, for example, performs up to 1,000 stomach crunches every day to get those six-pack abs, while Cruise reportedly travels with a mobile gym.

While regular people spend most of the day sitting in front of a computer, wishing they could catch anorexia, Espinoza notes that celebrities are paid to look good, training with the world's best personal trainers and studying meal plans with their personal chefs.
