The A Better Life star will take on Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jean Dujardin and Gary Oldman at the Oscars - and even he was shocked to be nominated.
A sleepless night, a bad cold and medicine all combined to turn his big moment into a very hazy start to his Tuesday (24Jan12).
Now the big news has settled in, he tells Access Hollywood Live, "I was doing a play in Mexico and I was rehearsing... On Monday night I went to bed feeling really bad; I had a cold and some fever.
"I couldn't sleep well and then my girlfriend, Stephanie... called and I thought it was part of the fever, hallucinations that I was having. It took a while."
