The actor was taken into custody in Newport Beach, California in November (11) after struggling to complete a field sobriety test and he was subsequently charged with two counts of driving under the influence last month (Jan12).
On Tuesday (07Feb12) Merriman pleaded no contest to both crimes and a judge sentenced the 28 year old to three-years probation.
He must also pay a $390 (GBP243.75) fine, according to TMZ.com.
